Type 1892 bayonet of French origin, mounted on a Berthier carabiner.
The wooden handle has been worked – the plates and rivets are visible, with some chips that are part of its history.
The steel blade, fitted with a characteristic fuller, fits perfectly into its metal scabbard, equipped with a leather gusset loop.

Authenticity: French period model, used on Berthier carabiner.
Originality: Modified handle, fluted, in wood , providing a unique character.
Completeness: original leather sheath and gusset.

Length: 53 cm.

Condition: used, with traces of age, a guarantee of the historical patina.

This model was widely used during the First World War on the Berthier musket, then kept as a collector's item.
The modified grips reflect field use or later adjustment.
