Authentic Adrian helmet model 1915 of the French Artillery, worn by the Poilus during the First World War.

This helmet features a brass insignia firmly affixed to the front. This detail is characteristic of the very first Adrian helmets from 1915: at that time, unit insignia were often made of brass and left unpainted, before the army switched to painted steel insignia for cost and camouflage reasons from 1916 onwards.

The shell retains a beautiful period patina on the exterior, while the interior is complete with its original horizon blue paint. It also has the inner liner, the leather headband, and the leather chin strap.
  • Model: Adrian Mle 1915 Helmet – Artillery.
  • Insignia: Original brass artillery insignia (characteristic of early 1915 models).
  • Paint: Original horizon blue interior.
  • Interior: Complete (liners, leather, chin strap).
Introduced in 1915, the Adrian helmet was the first modern helmet of the French army. Initially painted horizon blue to match the uniform, it was quickly adopted by all branches of the armed forces, including the Artillery.

Artillery helmets with brass insignia and original horizon blue interiors are particularly prized, as they represent the typical equipment of the early years of the conflict (1915-1916).
