Charming set of 4 large (22 cm) polychrome earthenware figurines representing:
- Hussar Officer.
- Marshal of the Empire.
- Officer of the Chasseurs.
- Cavalry Officer.
Northern workshop production 1960s-1970s (Desvres/Boulogne style, without stamp or number – perfectly normal for this range sold in gun shops and mail order).
Condition: No cracks, no chips, gilding and colors generally well preserved
two minor defects of use: missing blade of the Chasseurs officer's saber (old clean break) + some rubbing/wear of paint on the back of the Cavalry officer (see photos).
A very attractive display piece in a shop window or on a mantelpiece – perfect for an "officer's cabinet" decor or as a gift for an enthusiast.
It's good little militaria "made in the North".
