Engraved by Andrieu, a famous medalist of the First Empire, this historic piece is a vibrant tribute to imperial glory.

Reverse: Inscription “BATTLE OF IENA – XIV OCTOBER MDCCCVI” surrounded by laurels.

The Emperor, as a Roman general, laureate, on horseback to the right, brandishes a thunderbolt over two soldiers who have fallen to the ground.
In exergue: EXERCITV AD IENAM DELETO. XIV OCTOBER. MDCCCVI.
Condition: Very good, uniform natural patina.
The Battle of Jena was a strategic masterpiece for Napoleon. It was part of the campaign against the Fourth Coalition. This medal was one of the official awards and commemorations struck by the Paris Mint to glorify the Emperor and his victories.
