Reverse: Inscription “BATTLE OF IENA – OCTOBER 14, 1806” surrounded by laurels.

The Emperor, in Roman general form, laureate, on horseback to the right, brandishes a thunderbolt over two soldiers who have fallen to the ground.

In exergue: EXERCITV AD IENAM DELETO. XIV OCTOBER. MDCCCVI.

Condition: Very good, homogeneous natural patina.

The Battle of Jena was a strategic masterpiece by Napoleon. It was part of the campaign against the Fourth Coalition. This medal was among the official awards and commemoratives minted by the Paris Mint to glorify the Emperor and his victories.
