"For France, pour your gold — Gold fights for victory", created in 1915 by Abel Faivre and printed in Paris by Devambez, a famous art printer of the early 20th century.
This iconic poster, a symbol of French economic mobilization during the Great War, encouraged the population to deposit their gold to support the national effort. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable images of French propaganda from 1914-1918.
The composition depicts a monumental gold coin bearing the Gallic rooster crushing a German soldier, symbolizing the financial power put at the service of victory.
