This is an authentic example of the Model 1873 ordinance revolver, designed by Jean Chamelot and Henri-Gustave Delvigne, manufactured at the Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne. This weapon, chambered in the original 11 mm 73 caliber, is an emblematic piece of French weaponry from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

Initially intended for French troops, it was widely used during the period of the Third Republic, saw service during the First World War and marked the military history of France.
