Here is an authentic Adrian Mle 1926 helmet, the standard model of the French army adopted in 1926 and used until the 1940s-1950s.
This helmet, more modern and robust than the Mle 1915, equipped infantry troops during the interwar period and at the beginning of the Second World War. It is recognizable by its simplified shape, reinforced crest and thicker steel shell.
- Model: Adrian Mle 1926 Infantry.
- Frontal insignia: Infantry (flaming grenade RF model 1915).
- Exterior paint: Remnants of black paint.
- Chinstrap: Present (period leather).
- Interior: Without liner (bare shell).
This helmet, initially intended for the Infantry, was later reused by the Gendarmerie, which explains the black paint still present today.
