A symbol of popular fervor and mass mobilization during the French Revolution, this revolutionary spike is a An authentic 18th-century piece , a direct witness to the turbulent history of France between 1789 and 1795. Used notably by the sans-culottes and the improvised national guards, it represents the weapon of the people, rudimentary but full of meaning.
